How road groupage is priced
In groupage, the price depends on the weight, the volume and the space taken up in the trailer. The usual rule: 1 tonne = 3 m³, and 1 loading metre = 1,750 kg chargeable. Light but bulky goods, or a non-stackable pallet, are therefore charged on the space they take up.
A fuel surcharge, export formalities (declaration and EUR.1), destination charges and customs clearance in Morocco are usually added. Our quote details each of these items.
Groupage, full truck or sea freight?
- Road groupage : from one to a few pallets, for about one week door to door from France.
- Full truck : from around ten pallets, or for urgent or fragile goods, with no intermediate handling.
- Sea container : for large volumes and heavy, less urgent goods. See our page sea freight Europe → Morocco.
Required documents
- Commercial invoice and packing list
- International CMR consignment note
- Export declaration issued at origin
- EUR.1 certificate of origin, to benefit from reduced or zero duties on goods of European origin
- Domiciled import commitment (via PortNet)
- As applicable: ATA Carnet, ADR documents, certificates of conformity or health certificates
Our tips to avoid delays
- Plan ahead : a pick-up request sent before noon usually allows collection the next day or the day after.
- Exact dimensions and weights : any difference from the quote leads to a price revision and may delay departure.
- Compliant pallets : ISPM 15 treated wooden pallets, goods packed for international transport and, if possible, stackable.
- Customs file ready before arrival : at Tanger Med, a truck's free parking time is short (usually 48 hours); beyond that, every day is charged.
- Suitable insurance : the carrier's liability is limited by the CMR convention. To cover the real value, request ad valorem insurance before pick-up.

Frequently asked questions
How long does road transport from France to Morocco take?
In groupage, allow 1 to 2 days to our platform in the Paris region, then 3 to 4 days to Casablanca, i.e. about one week door to door including customs clearance. By full truck, 3 to 5 days depending on the loading and delivery locations.
From what volume do I need a full truck?
Groupage suits one to a few pallets. Beyond around ten pallets, or if the goods are urgent or fragile, a full truck often becomes more worthwhile. We compare both for every request.
Where does customs clearance take place?
For a full truck, clearance usually takes place at Tanger Med, before direct delivery. In groupage, the goods are unloaded at a bonded warehouse (MEAD) in Casablanca, where they are cleared before delivery.
Do you transport dangerous goods?
Yes, under conditions: the goods must be classified, packed and labelled according to ADR regulations, with the corresponding documents. Let us know when you request a quote.
Can you transport equipment for a trade fair in Morocco?
Yes. We organise outbound and return transport under ATA Carnet or temporary admission, or permanent import if the equipment stays in Morocco.
Do you deliver anywhere in Morocco?
Yes. After customs clearance, we deliver to your address anywhere in Morocco.
